Shell Gorget C-866. 3-3/8” x 3-1/4”. Engraved Gorget made of conch shell. Has a nice engraving of a turtle with symbols on the inside. Rounded and humped – shaped like a turtle shell. Very rare and neat piece! Found at the Chilowie Schoolhouse site in Smyth County, Virginia. Ex-Dan Stroud collection. Jackson COA. $3900.

Shell Gorget C-865. 4-11/16” x 3-9/16”. Mask Gorget made of conch shell. Well-made and in G-10 perfect condition. Found at the Roth-Lee site in Mason County, West Virginia in 1962. (2) COA’s from Jackson and Putty. $1800.

Bone Frame, Ex-Perino 1A. Large grouping of Plains Indian Artifacts found by the late Curtis Hintz at the famous Boley Site, near Bismark, North Dakota. Out of Gregory Perino’s personal collection, some were illustrated in his book Selected Preforms, Points ans Knives of the North American Indians, Vol III, page 105. These items will be sold as small groups and individually on accompanying web pages.

Bone Ring 1. Ex-Gregory Perino collection. Plains Indians Finger Ring. Made of animal Bone or cartilage. Outside diameter is about 1-1/8”. Has been modernly re-tied with a piece of string where sinew once was. Very unusual; I’ve never seen another one of these. Found by Curtis Hintz on the Boley Site, near Bismark N.D. Bone Group 1. Ex-Gregory Perino collection. Five Plains Indians animal Bone Tools ranging in size from 7” to 4-1/2”. All show good use-wear and have highly polished working ends. Three would be considered “awls”, the other two appear to be some types of special purpose tools. Found by Curtis Hintz on the Boley Site, near Bismark N.D. See above for more info. Group 1 (5 pc’s) $300.

Bone Group 2. Ex-Gregory Perino collection. Four Plains Indians animal Bone Tools ranging in size from 7-1/4” to 3-7/16”. All show good use-wear and have highly polished working ends. Three would be considered “awls”, the other appears to be a large needle with a groove for tying string or sinew. Found by Curtis Hintz on the Boley Site, near Bismark N.D. Shell Nose Ring 113. 1-1/8”. Very Rare nose ring made of shell in perfect condition. Found at a site along the St. Mary’s River in Mercer County, Ohio. Jackson COA. $350.
