Boatstone 555. 2-1/2”L x 1-7/8”W x 1-3/8”H. Made of dense, brown hardstone with sparkling silica inclusions. Well-made and heavily scooped-out inside. Flattened, squared-off ends and a slightly flattened top. Great artifact in G-10 condition. Found near Sulligent, Alabama. Ex-Dwight Phillips, John Basham, Woodston Carter collections. Discoidal 814. 1-13/16” wide x 7/16” thick. Fort Ancient culture engraved and perforated sandstone discoidal. Found in Grayson County, Kentucky. Ex-W.T. Pinkston collection. Great condition. $350.

Pendant C-613. 4-5/16” x 2-3/8”. Green and Black Banded Slate. Great piece found in Kentucky. Davis COA. $550.

Gorget 107. 2-hole. 4-3/4”. Dark green slate. Found in Allen Co., Ohio. Ex-J.C. Schilling collection. Davis COA. $325.

Gorget 106. (2-hole). 3-1/4”. Writing looks like Meuser’s but is faint and hard to read – I can make out “Saginaw” and that’s about it. A little rough. $250.

Tablet 212. Hopewell Tablet made of Flourspar or Chlorite. 4-3/4” x 2-1/2”. Amazingly thin. Perfectly flat on both sides. You’ll wonder how they made this without modern machinery. Found in Licking County, Ohio in an old Moorehead excavation of a Hopewell mound. I had this one papered by Jackson. $500. (More below)

Tablets 213-216. Hopewell Tablets made of Flourspar or Chlorite. Amazingly thin. Perfectly flat on both sides. You’ll wonder how they made this without modern machinery.
