Pipe C-335. 5-9/16” x 6”. Giant Face Effigy Pipe. Made of orange/brown colored “Cottonstone”. RARE! Mississippian period. Almost life-sized human head with eyes, nose, mouth; ears are elongated for use as handles. Top of head is drilled for the bowl and the back is drilled for the mouthpiece stem. Pipe C-330. 2-3/8” x 1-1/4”. Made of Sandstone. A small, interesting Disc Pipe that was originally painted red by its maker to look like catlinite pipes they had seen. Tallied handle end. Well-made miniature in great G-10 condition. Found by Betty Jodrey in a garden plot in Mason County, Kentucky. This is a early historic period pipe, circa 1700’s. Gregory Perino COA. $950.

Bannerstone 202 (Shuttle type). 4-5/16” x 2-1/16”. Made of blue/green and white banded slate, heavily patinated. Archaic, early shuttle type Bannerstone, circa 5000 BC. Has a few plow scars but is intact, complete, fully drilled, and was purchased directly from the finder. Found in 1994 in Butler County, Ohio. Celt 566 (Trophy type). Very large, 6-3/4” x 3-3/4” RARE Trophy Celt made of black and tan speckled granite. This celt was not manufactured to be used and is “squared-off” on all sides (hard to tell from photo), especially noticeable on the bit and poll. Great condition with no use-wear and partial polish on both sides. A very rare and unusual hardstone artifact. Found in Highland County, Ohio. Davis COA (G-9). $850.
